Release Notes – June 2026
This release introduces Ad Manager in V4, a new Onboarding V2 experience in V5, platform-wide authentication and API security enhancements, and improvements across billing, analytics, livestream, file manager, and scheduled playlist workflows.

Feature: Authentication & Account Security Enhancements
- One-Time Password (OTP) Login Verification has been introduced as a new security layer during login, adding verification on top of standard credentials.
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is now available as an optional but strongly recommended layer of account protection, configurable from Account Security settings.
- Login Activity is now visible from the dashboard, allowing users to monitor recent account access and spot any unrecognized sessions.
- IP Whitelisting for Login is now supported — users can whitelist trusted IP addresses to bypass additional verification for recognized locations.
Feature: API Key Security Enhancements
- IP Restriction for API Keys is now available, allowing users to lock key usage to specific IPv4, IPv6, or CIDR ranges for an added layer of programmatic access security.
- API keys are now displayed only once at generation with a SHA-256 fingerprint shown for future reference, following security best practices.
V4 Updates
Feature: Ad Manager – Bring Your Own Ads
- Ad Manager is now available in V4, giving broadcasters and OTT operators a complete self-serve ad management layer for their live streams.
- Ad Manager acts as a VAST URL generator — users configure their ad inventory and schedule within the platform, and 5centsCDN generates the VAST URL used for ad delivery.
- Key capabilities include:
- Ad Inventory Management – upload and manage your own ad creatives directly within the dashboard.
- Ad Scheduling – define ad break timing, frequency, and duration across your streams.
- Pre-roll and Mid-roll configuration – control exactly when ads are served to viewers.
- Direct Deal Support – manage direct advertiser relationships and serve reserved ad inventory without going through a programmatic exchange.
- Programmatic Integration – connect to programmatic demand sources for automated ad fill.
- Clients retain 100% of ad revenue; 5centsCDN charges only the applicable technology/service fee.
- 🔜 Ad Manager is coming to V5 soon — currently in final testing phase, with a V5 rollout expected shortly.
V5 Updates
Feature: Onboarding V2
- A revamped Onboarding V2 experience has been launched for new users.
- The new onboarding stepper provides a cleaner, more guided setup flow with improved responsiveness across devices.
- Rolled out in a controlled manner to allow safe testing and iteration without affecting existing users.
Feature: Scheduled Playlist – Ad Insertion Improvements
- Ad Insertion within Scheduled Playlists has been further refined with improved pre-roll and replacement interaction, better SSAI tab handling, and smoother enable/disable controls.
Feature: Billing Improvements
- Invoices and Quotes have been split into separate pages for better clarity and navigation.
- Search functionality added for both Invoices and Quotes.
- Bandwidth Overage Protection and Auto Recharge settings have been separated into dedicated tabs for easier management.
Feature: File Manager Enhancements
- File Manager reliability has been improved with better folder handling, live upload progress indicators, and fixes across tree sync and folder path management.
Analytics & Dashboard Improvements
- Analytics zone filter now pre-selects context when navigating from the Push Zone manage page, reducing extra steps.
- Dashboard Home received improvements including a recent items dropdown, improved activity log search, and better breadcrumb navigation.
UI/UX & Bug Fixes
- A reusable banner component was integrated across multiple dashboard pages for improved visual consistency.
- Minor UI/UX refinements and bug fixes across billing, livestream, HTTP Push Zone, and onboarding areas.
