Release Notes – February 2026
This release introduces Livestream Ad Insertion with SCTE-35 & SSAI support in V4, a billing model update for Live Transcoding, and several V5 improvements including scheduled reports, billing enhancements, and UI refinements.
V4 Updates
Feature: Livestream Ad Insertion / SSAI (SCTE-35)
- V4 now supports Livestream Ad Insertion via SCTE-35 for Push, Pull, and ABR streams.
- Two workflows are supported:
- SCTE-35 Marker Pass-through – preserves markers from your encoder through the delivery pipeline.
- SCTE-35 Marker Insertion + SSAI – 5centsCDN inserts markers and stitches ads server-side using your VAST 3.0+ tag.
- Supports both platform-side ad insertion (e.g. FAST platforms like Roku) and Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI).
- Clients retain 100% of ad revenue; 5centsCDN charges only the applicable technology/service fee.

Billing Change: Live Transcoding – Hourly Billing Model
- Live Transcoding billing has moved from a per-minute to an hourly basis.
- Service-level Live Transcoding (LTC) has been disabled — transcoding must now be activated at the stream level.
- This gives users more granular control and clearer cost visibility per stream.
V5 Updates
Feature: Scheduled Reports
- Scheduled Reports are now available in V5, providing powerful automated analytics delivery.
- Users can schedule reports to be generated and delivered at defined intervals, ensuring regular visibility into usage, performance, and billing metrics without manual effort.
Feature: Billing & Invoice Enhancements
- Added invoice update functionality and improved the billing page layout for a cleaner experience.
UI & Navigation Improvements
- Enhanced service cancellation forms with back-navigation and toggle switches for a smoother workflow.
- General UI refinements and bug fixes across billing and onboarding flows.
