This release brings exciting new features and improvements to our Content Delivery Network (CDN) service, particularly focusing on enhanced video delivery and content management:

• Advanced Video Encoding:

  • Improved HLS/HLS-AES Segmentation: We've made significant improvements to our video encoding for HLS and HLS-AES segmentation, ensuring more efficient and reliable delivery of your streaming content.
  • 1-Second GOP Support: You can now set a 1-second Group of Pictures (GOP) in your video encoding profiles. This provides greater flexibility and can lead to smoother playback and improved seeking capabilities for your video streams. Learn How to Create Encoding Profiles

• Advanced Content Management & Optimization:

  • Prefetch Content: We've introduced a new "Prefetch Content" feature, allow to pre-populate files to a CDN cache before users requests. Prefetch is recommended only for files that more than 200 MB and less than 5 GB.
  • Purge/Prefetch History: Gain full visibility into your content management operations with our new Purge/Prefetch History. This feature allows you to track the status and details of all your purge and prefetch requests, including Purge ID, Type, File Count, Completion Status, and Creation Timestamp.

• Multistreaming to SRT:

  • We are pleased to announce support for multistreaming to SRT (Secure Reliable Transport). This enables more robust and secure live video streaming, particularly in challenging network conditions. Learn How to Multi-stream via Custom SRT
